Current Waitlist: CLOSED
Opening ETA: Unknown
Due to the long waitlist, current terms will be outdated by the time we reopen. Please do not expect everything written to be the same later.

This commission is for full completion of garage kits, from surface preparation to painting and shipping assembly. Custom foam packaging will be supplied to protect all kits on their way.
For kits intended to be used as an official display piece (commercial/event), please contact us directly at nishikiyoricomms@gmail.com

Note: This is NOT for sculpting or custom nendoroid head commissions. Do not contact asking about them.
UPDATE May 9th, 2026: Prices have been raised due to the rising scarcity of supplies. This only applies to new commissions, anyone who confirmed a slot before is unaffected.

Information

  • This service is based in the United States, we are unable to accommodate commissions from areas that have high risk or prohibited shipping.
  • Kits are painted primarily in lacquer paint with enamel and acrylic details.
  • Completion time is expected to be anywhere between 2 weeks to 6 months. Further delays can happen due to situations outside of my control.
  • Progress is intended to be recorded for social media purposes. It is how we advertise ourselves and share our creations. You will have the option to opt out for a fee.
  • In the event the kit is no longer produced, it might be impossible for us to reach out for replacement pieces. We recommend you check your parts before submitting a request. Small parts can be recreated using 3D modeling and 3D printing.
  • If there is only one set of eye decals or they are of extremely poor quality, the face will be hand painted.
  • Progress will be given through photos which can vary from how it looks in person.
  • It’s best to request changes or edits as soon as you can. If a change is requested that takes a considerable amount of time, it will be added to the final cost. Changes made by fault of our own are free.
  • Items delivered to the address that are listed in the “Won’t Accept” section will be returned at the sender’s expense.
General Disclaimer from the Painter

While I have 4 years of painting experience and consider myself of higher skill than an amateur, I would like to note that this is not offered as a professional service. All kits can be considered handmade in my studio and will still have a few minor flaws. Despite that, I take a lot of pride in my work and would love to paint for you. There are rarely any kits I would consider outside of my capabilities. If you are looking for the highest quality of a professional, please look at more skilled artists. Their prices are significantly higher (easily reaching several thousand dollars) but they can provide much more than I can.

All points listed in this section are a definite no for commissions. Please do not contact asking for exceptions, they will be declined.

  • Recasts or unauthorized copies of kits
  • AI Generated models
  • Mecha/Robot/Model cars
  • Plastic/Sofubi Models
  • Realistic/heavy semi-realism
  • Extreme modifications
  • Toys
  • PVC/resin statue repaints
  • Miniatures or scales smaller than 1/10
  • Low quality prints (hollow prints, unwashed, brittle material, full FDM prints, etc)
  • Partial touch up of previously painted kits
  • Copying paint jobs of other artists
  • Items we legally cannot send to you

We retain full rights to decline anything not included on this list due to personal comfort. If you are unsure of your kit falling under these conditions, feel free to submit it to the form for review.

Commission Pricing

  • The price is determined by hours of work, starting at $450 USD.
  • If the time spent exceeds 30 hours, it will be an additional $25 USD per hour afterwards.
For example, a garage kit with 40 hours of work will cost $700 USD.
  • Any kits under 30 hours will still be subjected to the full $450 minimum.
  • If you wish to have a custom base, a flat fee for sculpting/printing will be discussed based on the requirements. All preparation and painting will be rolled into the hourly total.
  • 3D prints originating from online STL services (such as Patreon, 3DCults, Gumroad, etc.) may incur an additional fee depending on split and print quality. We can also 3D print the kit for an extra cost.
  • If any specialty items are requested to be ordered for completion (such as props or bases), the costs will be added to the final total.
  • An estimate of the highest anticipated price (based on various factors such as parts, age, detail, etc.) will be given. Please budget appropriately.
  • Time taken on some previous kits are available on their portfolio page.

Shipping Prices

  • Shipping prices are determined based on materials used and delivery costs. For domestic orders, please expect it to be at least $30 USD.
  • Shipping through USPS, UPS, and FedEx is available.
  • To protect the kit after painting, all packages will be made with custom foam cut outs.
  • International orders will require extra materials and incur higher costs.
  • We are not responsible for any import fees and duties.
    • We are open to undervaluing, but understand it is at your own risk. We will not be able to reimburse more than the declared value in the event the package is damaged or lost during shipping.

Payment Procedures

  • All prices include platform fees.
  • Payment is primarily taken using Paypal Goods and Services. For international orders, Wise may be accepted.
  • All payments must be sent in USD.
  • A deposit based on the estimated price will be requested before work begins. This can be before or after sending the kit to the given address. Work will not start until it is paid.
    • The given address is a post office box, please make sure your preferred shipping method can support it.
  • After the final condition of the kit is approved, the final payment based on the time taken will be requested.
  • The kit will not be sent out until all payments are made.
  • In the event of a commission being cancelled by the client during the painting process, we cannot supply refunds for work already completed. The remaining work balance and shipping will still be requested. If you would like to shelf the kit for completion at a later date, it can be discussed.

After Sales Services

  • There is a one week period from delivery for after sales services.
  • An unboxing video starting from the unopened package must be provided to be eligible for any fixes.
  • If damage to the kit is obviously caused by factors outside of our control (i.e. the courier company plays soccer with your box, customs interference) then it is not eligible for free fixes.
  • All domestic orders (USA based) will qualify for free fixes and shipping if properly reported within one week of delivery. We will ask you to send only the damaged parts.
    • International orders qualify for free fixes but will need to cover the shipping cost.
  • Orders that do not qualify for free fixes but are reported within one month of delivery are eligible for paid fixes. An unboxing video is not required.
  • Kits undervalued for import reasons do not qualify for free fixes regardless of time reported.
  • No after sales services, paid or free, will be provided for orders after one month of delivery.
  • Can I request a change of materials for painting?

No, the type of materials/paint cannot be changed for projects.

  • The form is a bit confusing. Can I contact you on social media to arrange a commission instead?

No, all commissions must go through the form and an email exchange. Private messages on our social media accounts have been disabled due to people being unable to behave themselves.

  • I submitted a commission request on the form and haven’t gotten a response in over a week. What should I do?

Please use the contact page to send us a follow up. It’s possible the email listed on the form was misspelled or we missed you entirely.

  • I’ve confirmed a slot, can I send the kit early?

Yes, but please note we are not liable for anything that happens out of our control (just pray the house doesn’t spontaneously blow up). Kits being sent from international addresses will need to have tariffs paid in advance or the money transferred to pay on arrival.

  • The estimate price given is too high for my budget. What now?

If you let us know, we can try to connect you with painters more in your price range.

  • Is it possible to have my kit painted before the waitlist date?

Any expedited orders will incur a rush fee based on the request completion date.

  • Are you willing to work on kits that have been previously painted?

Yes, we are open to repainting kits that had previous work done. Please note this is only accepted for full repaints and not partial touch ups.

  • Can you paint the kit exactly like (other sample)?

No. Regarding replication of other’s products, if we are going to be hired for commission services, we would rather it be for our own style. If you like the paint job another artist did, you should just commission them to paint your kit instead. You can request certain color schemes and give references, but we will not copy examples 1:1.

  • Are you open to collaboration projects?

We do not accept collaborations based purely on exposure. Any other projects can be introduced through directly on our contact page. Please be as detailed as you can about what it is you have in mind.
